"Desalination" is a process that turns salty ocean water into fresh drinking water. While it provides clean water, why is it not used everywhere?
(A) Saltwater is too heavy to be pumped into machines.
(B) It requires a massive amount of energy and produces "Brine" (super-salty waste) that can harm marine life.
(C) The salt removed from the water is poisonous and cannot be touched.
(D) Ocean water disappears if you try to take the salt out.
